Asian prices not to climb too high

Prices for SiMn (65 Mn; 16 Si) in Japan rose by $23/t to $1,095/t CIF monthon-month in June, for HC FeMn (75 Mn) by 12?$/t to $1,160/t CIF. Export quotes of Indian SiMn (65 Mn; 16 Si) increased by $22/t to some $1,097/t and those of HC FeMn (75 Mn) by $16/t to $1,175/t FOB India. Although Indian suppliers did not leave attempts to raise prices amid costlier manganese ore and positive expectations regarding the Chinese metallurgical market, they had to back down in the end of the month.
