Taipower buys Indonesian coal

Taiwanese state-controlled utility Taipower has bought420,000t of minimum GAR 5,500 kcal/kg Indonesian coal fordelivery in five 84,000t Panamax-sized vessels in October-December.Taipower awarded the tender for the bituminous coal atan evaluated cfr price of less than $66.50/t on a GAR 6,322kcal/kg basis. Trading firm Avra Commodities will supplyall of the coal, which must have maximum total moisturecontent of 15pc and ash and sulphur content below 15pc and1.1pc, respectively.
