We read with interest the recent results of a study by Neumann et al.1 relating to the use of the cyclosporine A and mycophenolate mofetil (CSA/MMF) combination in stem cell transplantation from HLA identical siblings following myeloablative conditioning. The successful use of CSA combined with MMF in the prevention of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) was described in allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo-SCT) following nonmyelo-ablative conditioning regimens.2-3 Information as to the use of this combination in classical myeloablative SCT is limited.
