UK: Delphi closes fuel systems plant 'for summer'

DELPHI Diesel Systems is to close its Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, manufacturing plant in the UK for an unspecified period this summer because of the slump in demand for heavy trucks. The plant produces a range of fuel system components, notably electronic unit injectors (EUIs) for all Volvo 9-, 11-, 13- and 16-litre diesels and electronic unit pumps (EUPs) with accompanying injectors for all DAF 9.2- and 12.9-litre engines.
