Germany: Conti 'to cut 10 of Automotive jobs'

CONTINENTAL plans to cut about 2,600 jobs, about 10 of the total at its Automotive division by 2010, a spokeswoman for the company told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on 5 June. The German trade union IG Metall Bayern had already indicated that Continental planned to cut more than 2,000 jobs, of which more than 600 were in the southern German city of Regensburg.
