The Vietnamese state oil company has announced that it has begun building a new terminal on Phu Quoc island off the country's southern coast. The 5.6 trillion VND ($260MM) will be equipped with 70K kL (440L bbl) of storage space and be able to accommodate vessels up to 80K mt in its first phase. The first phase will be complete in 2017 Petro Vietnam said, but no details on a second phase were available.
