Enterprise to expand USGC PC pipeline system.

The US midstream firm has announced plans to convert and expand segments of its US Gulf Coast petrochemical pipeline system to increase its capacity to move polymer-grade propylene (PGP) following the startup of a new propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit in Mont Belvieu, TX (US) in Sept. 2016. Enterprise Products will covert and expand its existing 149-mi (240-km) refinery-grade propylene (RGP) North Dean pipeline by adding to carry over 150K b/d of PGP through the addition of a 33-mi (53-km) lateral pipe and new metering stations and pumping capacity. The company will also convert its existing 263-mi (423-km) bi-directional chemical-grade propylene (CGP) Lou-Tex propylene pipeline to carry PGP starting in 2020. Furthermore, Enterprise is expanding its rail facilities at Mont Belvieu to allow the firm to unload 100 railcars of PGP daily. Finally, the company will build a new 65-mi (105-km), 10-in (25-cm) pipeline between Sorrento and Breaux Bridge, LA to carry PGP once it is brought online in early-2017.
