This article discusses the findings from five countries and thereby provides a cross-national or international comparison of perceptions of aging and older people. A literature review on cross-national and/or international studies focusing on perceptions and/or attitudes toward aging and older adults was conducted for this study. The literature search found few cross-national or international studies on this topic. The research studies that are relevant to the findings from this study are discussed in the Summary section.
