摘要

Taking into account the recommendations of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, the European Commission amended the European Food Labelling Directive 2000/1 3/EC by a list of ingredients to be labelled, irrespective of their amount in the final product. Therefore, suitable detection methods are needed to assure the surveillance of the established legislation. The use of a ligation-dependent probe amplification (LPA) system for the simultaneous detection of DNA from different allergenic foods (cashew nut, pecan nut, pistachio nut, hazelnut, macadamia nut, almond, walnut, Brazil nut, groundnuts, and sesame seeds) is described. The approach applied in this study allows the detection of several targets in a one-tube assay. Results indicate that the LPA system is a suitable method to detect allergenic food components..
