61 samples of cheeses ground in the retail shop were examined. Only 2 samples (3.3 %) were faultless regarding the parameters microbiology, flavour and odour, and declaration. 12 samples (20 %) were visually mouldy. 23 samples were lumpy. 7 samples were unintentionally contaminated with plastic and cloth, resp. 44 samples showed deviation in flavour and odour.
