Double-counting: Double-counting typically occurs when the sheet metal of a car's body structure is pressed in one country then shipped to another country for construction, painting, powertrain installation and the other final assembly processes. This is often the most economical approach for a manufacturer to take as the press machinery requires significant capital investment.
