MAX-2005: a triumph of Ukrainian aviation

Ukrainian enterprises of space and aeronautic industry are regular participants of the International aerospace exhibition MAX-2005, the level of popularity of which can be compared to the worldwide acknowledged air shows in Paris (Le Bourget) and Great Britain (Farnborough). This prestigious exhibition is traditionally held every two years from August 16 till August 21 in a Moscow suburb town of Zhukovskyi. The exhibition attracts hundreds of thousands specialists, guests and participants of the show. This year the exhibition was visited by more than 650 thousand people. The spectators have witnessed more than 200 flights performed by approximately 50 different aircraft, including two Ukrainian aircraft of the "Antonov" family: jet plane An-148 and turbo-propeller aircraft An-140-100. It was the first time for An-148 to be displayed at exhibitions of such type (to remind - the first test prototype aircraft of this class took to the sky at the end of 2004), and its potential consumers had one more chance of witnessing with their own eyes the flight and of being convinced that the choice they made concerning the aircraft is the right one.
