Export of Ukrainian goods and services to Poland almost tripled over 1998-2005 (from USD 350 mn to USD 1,073 mn). At the same time, import augmented also almost three times (from USD 512 mn to USD 1,483 mn). 95 percent of foreign trade turnover herewith falls for goods and merely 5 percent to services. Still, rates of commodities1 export growth have significantly slowed down in 2005 and constituted merely 4.9 percent, while import rates increased up to 45.2 percent. It caused negative for Ukraine balance of bilateral trade in commodities in the amount of USD 410 mn.
