Germany: Audi launches EV battery production research

Audi is launching a three-year battery production research project called 'eProduction', together with partners, with the goal of generating expertise in the assembly of traction batteries and developing a production concept for them. The project is being sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of its 'Key Technologies for Electric Mobility' programme, with a budget of {EUR}11.3m (US$14.9m).
