Sumitomo Rubber Targets 100% Sustainability for Tire Materials

Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. (TYO:5110) is looking to have 40 percent of its raw materials for tires be sustainable by 2030, and 100 percent by 2050, as part of a newly formed long-term sustainability policy. This policy will drive a range of new initiatives from the company, including the further use of biomass raw materials, the use of hydrogen and the creation of an internal standard for sustainable products.
