Hybrids between iHepatica maxima/i and iH. nobilis/i.

This paper discusses recent breeding work in Hepatica and describes a new pink-flowered hybrid (Hepatica x schlyteri) and selections of it. Hepatica x schlyteri differs from H. maxima in having smaller involucral bracts, shorter than or only slightly exceeding the sepals, and from H. nobilis in having larger involucral bracts, and leaves and bracts with long-ciliate margins; differs from both in having a distinct pedicel up to 15 mm long between the involucral bracts and sepals.
