摘要

The taxonomic complexity, definitive studies, problems of supply, recent collections, propagation and hybridization of the genus Berberis are briefly discussed. Descriptions and origins of some recommended species like B. concinna, B. dictyophylla, B. glaucocarpa, B. griffithiana, B. hypokerina, B. insignis, B. sanguinea, B. temolaica, B. trigona, B. valdiviana, and B. wilsoniae are presented.
