Deragging now standard on Danfoss pump

'Ragging' of wastewater pump impellers is a serious issue that can reduce pump efficiency and cause blockages resulting in major downtime to carry out the required maintenance. Danfoss now has a dedicated deragging software feature as standard within its VLT AQUA Drive, which ensures that highest pump efficiency is maintained and ragging minimised; whilst allowing for programmable ramps and time delays. This feature optimises the efficiency of the pump by constantly monitoring the motor shaft power consumption relative to flow and reacts with a reverse spinning cleaning cycle when a deviation from the power consumption of the system design is recorded.
