Egypt’s mills and traders have been expectedly highly interested in import billet this week, largely owing to their needto restock and a gradual recovery of local rebar demand and prices.The number of import billet inquiries from Egypt has increased this week, whereas offers from the CIS have beenlimited. CIS sellers are mostly targeting $420?425/t CFR (up $5?7/t week-on-week) for end-July shipment. A contractfor 15,000 t in total has been reportedly signed through traders at $422/t CFR from port, according to market sources.
