Iran seeks ways to keep up DRI exports, eyes Turkey

Although domestic DRI requirement is quite big in Iran, its export remains important for the producers at least as ameans of obtaining foreign currency. The local Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company (GEG) is seeking ways toexport DRI while also serving some local orders. The supplier is expected to remain a player in the DRI market untilthe launch of its own steel and billet production at one of the assets. However, export sales are to remain challenging.
