Know which sweet corn diseases are prevalent in your area and what to do if and when they arrive in your fields. ALTHOUGH diseases occur on sweet corn annually, they generally do not become so severe that treatment is required. This is partially due to the widespread availability of disease-resistant sweet corn hybrids. However, since there is no single hybrid that is resistant to all diseases that affect sweet corn, it is important to know what diseases are prevalent in your growing region and be able to correctly identify and diagnois them when they do occur. Below are some specifics on three sweet corn diseases.
