Thai auto production drops in June due to lower local sales

The Thai automotive industry saw production rate dropping in June due to weaker domestic sales this time, according to the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI). Export shipments, however, slightly increased.last month, auto production lost around 8.5% year-on-year and 5% month-on-month, coming to 172,878 units, FTI reported. For the six months of 2019, the output increased by 0.9% to 1.06 million units y-o-y.
