Spot price of imported alumina slightly down, while Chalco's holds firm

The spot price of imported alumina (offered for domestic aluminum smelter) has edged down to 4,00-4,700 yuan/tone (USD532-568) from the previous 4,600-4,800 yuan/tone at such Chinese major ports as Lianyungang and Tianjin since the beginning this year, traders said. The imported alumina wad settled at CIF USD 410-420/tonne(between overseas alumina suppliers and Chine firms including Minmetals, Chalco, ect.) at the moment, traders said.
