Henan to become the largest producing area of AL semis in China

Hersan province, the current biggest producing area of primary aluminum and the second largest of aluminum semis in China, is expected to surpass Guangdong province as the largest producing area of aluminum semis within 3 years as Henan province is investing heavily in building new production lines of aluminum semis. Henan province's production capacity of aluminum semis is likely to increase to 2.8 million tpy by 2010 from the current around 800,000tpy. The province's aluminum semis output reached 605,000 tonnes in 2004 and the growth rate was 19.3 percent higher than the average rate of Chinese total output. The province's 5 FRPs producers have entered the list of Chinese top 10 FRPs producers and the province's FRPs output represented 50 percent of Chinese total last year.
