China’s welded pipe suppliers move prices higher

The situation in the Chinese welded pipe market is favourable for suppliers at the beginning of July. They have achieved price increases on costlier iron ore (up $9-11/t in a month) and firmer demand from traders. Mills also take an advantage from $2-3/t and $1-2/t increases in quotations of HR feedstock and square billet respectively in two weeks. Several China’s mills use square billet in HR strip production.
