Hyundai Steel (South Korea) lifts beam prices to all destinations

The sentiment in South Korean section market is positive for exporters. Hyundai Steel has raised export beam prices by $10-20/t in response to growing prices for steel scrap (by $5-15/t in two weeks) and favourable conditions in the domestic market. The company has lifted the upper end of the price range for 200-300 mm SS400 beam made to JIS G3101 to the USA by $20/t to $660-680/t FOB ($720-740/t CFR), for December shipment. Buyers sit on low stocks now.
