Rebar inventories decline in UAE

Although rebar demand from consuming sectors remains moderate in the UAE, stockists have reduced inventories mostly due to lower imports. Despite a $15-20/t drop in domestic rebar prices in late October, offers of Turkish material to the UAE have increased amid the rise in scrap costs over the past two weeks. In these circumstances, Turkish material will not be booked in the near future, market players believe.
