Teck Resources (Canada) announces preliminary results of Q3 coal sales

The largest Canadian mining company Teck Resources shipped 7.6 mt of coking coal in July-September, which is 36% more than in the same period last year and 26.5% more than in the previous quarter. Extraction grew by 6% and 12% respectively reaching 6.7 mt. The average selling price was $139/t FOB in Q3 2013 against $193/t FOB in July September 2012. Production costs decreased in the same period by 13.7% y-o-y to $50/t.
