Germany’s RWE power sales hedging increases

German utility RWE has slightly increased its power hedging ratios from the first quarter of this year for expected German nuclear and lignite power production up to 2015. RWE has hedged more than 90pc of planned German nuclear and lignite power generation for 2013, more than 80pc for 2014, and almost 50pc for 2015, it said today in its half-year results. Hedging for planned output in 2014 has increased by 10pc from the 70pc hedging made up to the end of first-quarter 2013.
