Forecast of stainless steel and alloyed steel production

In 2020, Russia's overall production of stainless flat and long products amounted to about 84,000 t, unchanged y-o-y. The majority of mills cut stainless steel output by 6?25% y-o-y. Only the leading producer in this sector - Red October - boosted production by 30% to 34,000 t, accounting for 40% of the entire output. In 2021, steel production is forecast to rise by some 1%, also mainly because of higher output at Red October.
