FORECAST OF FECR PRICES IN RUSSIA

High power supply and delivery costs in Europe will enable producers to keep high prices for FeCr in Europe. However, slack demand from end consumers due to high prices will force suppliers to reduce prices gradually. According to preliminary data, stainless steel production in China increased by 4% to 31.3 million t in 2021. Steel output reduced throughout the year from 8.2 million t in Q1 to 7.5 million t in Q4. In Q1 2022, stainless steel production in China will keep decreasing amid governmental restrictions. A moderate recovery is expected to follow.
