Apple juice trade hopes for AJC offers at Chinese forum

AS the date for China Juice, the main forum for China's apple juice industry approaches, the latest data shows that Chinese AJC exports are still relatively weak, although they are running at a higher level than last year. China exported 62 230 tonnesof AJC in July, bringing its total for the year to date (end July; the most recent data available) to just over 523 000 tonnes, compared with 469 190 tonnes in January-July last year (a rise, then, of about 11.5%). Year to date exports, though, are still running about 100 000 tonnes below the levels seen in 2007. For the month of July alone, the difference between volumes shipped in 2007 and those shipped in 2009 is just over 13 000 tonnes.
