In the first half of May, several attempts to change the downtrend wereregistered in the global market for raw materials. Some rise in buyingactivity in the scrap segments coupled with eased concerns regardingthe inflow of the Chinese products to the Middle Eastern markets contributedto the moderate increase in quotes. Despite the fluctuations,the general trend in Chinese import iron ore tags stays negative. Cokingcoal is getting cheaper even faster than we expected.
