Steelmakers to raise purchase prices

In October uncertainties of the global market for raw materials and finishedsteel slowed the downtrend in the Ukrainian scrap market. By themiddle of the month, consumers had largely to raise purchase prices.As a result, average monthly prices for the base-grade material (size ofup to 1,200?1,500x600x600 mm; carload of over 55 t) added about 2%,in part due to the extras offered by buyers without publicly disclosingthis fact.
