Prices for A3 scrap went up by 3% in the European part of Russia andby 2% in the Ural region by mid-August on growing supply shortage.Rivalry among steel mills will keep getting tougher in September-October,as buyers will still be actively stockpiling scrap for winter. Most marketparticipants will have prepared the biggest part of their inventories bylate October, so competition will slightly ease. The factor will provideno support to prices starting from November.
