Disparity between estimates of remaining Chinese AJC inventory

Chinese AJC production for the last season was put at 743,000 tonnes at a recent juice conference in China, FOODNEWS understands. FOODNEWS' own sources in the country had previously quoted figures slightly higher than this (around 750,000-780,000 tonnes), so this is not too far removed from earlier reports. The latest information from China now suggests the lower figure is likely to be accurate. Chinese sources at the conference also said that just 150,000 tonnes of AJC remained unsold in the country.
