Europe Zn: Premiums flat, demand remains weak

Spot premiums for special high-grade zinc in Europe were flat over the past week as demand in the market continued to be outweighed by supply. More countries across Europe further loosened Covid-19 lockdown restrictions over the past week, with others signal-ling easing in the coming weeks. Although some zinc demand has begun to return on the back of economies restarting, overall appetite remains weak. One zinc trader said customers are consuming but at lower than normal levels, with capacities cited as being down 20-30pc.
