Chile confirmed its first case of Covid-19 on 3 March, and implemented lockdown measures later in the month. February output from state-run Codelco, the country's largest producer, rose by 6.2pc to 112,100t — and including its shares in other mines, its production rose by 4.5pc to 120,262t.
