Spirituality in Clinical Practice: Gratitude, Introductions, and Future Directions

As the new incoming editor for Spirituality in Clinical Practice, I, among many, am veiy grateful for the tireless and gifted work of the outgoing editors, Professors Lisa Miller and Len Sperry. They both created the vision and launched the journal about seven years ago, and their combined synergistic talents and dedication created an important journal contribution for the professional community. I know that I am only one of countless people who are forever grateful to both of them for their work and influence, but as the saying goes, "it takes a village." And as Professors Miller and Sperry graciously hand the journal baton over to me as the new incoming editor, I am extremely grateful and consoled that Professors Edward Shafranske, Jean Kristeller, Anthony Isacco, and Carrie York Al-Karam have generously agreed to serve as incoming associate editors, along with a remarkable and diverse group of about 50 new and continuing consulting editors who have expressed their willingness to serve as ongoing regular reviewers and consultants. These leading and diverse professionals provide the much-needed dedication, talent, and skill sets to create a large village or perhaps a small city of colleagues dedicated to producing the very best professional journal available highlighting the integration of spirituality and professional clinical practice.
