India’s Singareni Collieries’ April-May coal output soars 65% on year; misses target

Indian state-run Singareni Collieries Co. Ltd., or SCCL, on June 2 posted a coal output of 10.30 million mt for April-May compared with its target of 11.62 million mt, registering an increase of 65% on the year. The company’s shipment volumes for the first two months of the current fiscal year 2021-22 stood at 11.24 million mt, lower than its target of 11.62 million mt, soaring 101% on the year, the company said.
