Singapore—Taiwan’s containerized scrap prices saw prices correcting from its uptrend in the week of March 12, as traders began cutting offers alongside a fall in regional sentiment, sources said. The S&P Global Platts TSI HMS I/II 80:20 containerized scrap price was assessed at $418/mt CFR Taiwan, down $17/mt on the week. Containerized US-origin HMS I/II 80:20 cargoes were concluded to Taiwan lower through the week, ending at $415-$420/mt CFR March 11, down $15-$20/mt from the week prior.
