Singapore—The metallurgical coke market in China is expected to experience further tailwinds after another successful upward price revision — the 14th — in the span of three working days amid a severe imbalance between demand and supply, market participants said Jan. 21. Market sources said they expect the 15th round to be proposed before the Spring Festival, which is scheduled for Feb. 11-17. The Chinese domestic coke market has seen a total of 14 price rises, by Yuan 900/mt, from August 2020 to January 2021 A typical upward price revision is between Yuan 50-100/mt.
