Pittsburgh—US imported pig iron prices fell to $510/mt CFR New Orleans in the week ended Feb. 12 with another CIS-origin transaction, however, market sources reported firming sentiment as some report offer levels rising. A supply side indicated tradable value of high phosphorus material ex-Brazil at $490-$495/mt CFR New Orleans, and a second source indicated $510/mt adding, "I think the trend is up."
