Woodside and Trafigura join carbon offsetting club through condensate delivery

Australia’s largest gas producer Woodside and its Pluto LNG partners Kansai Electric and Tokyo Gas have delivered what is believed to be the world’s first cargo of carbon offset condensate to commodity trader Trafigura. The move comes after the companies in recent months have committed to a set of climate goals and follows an increasing trend among energy companies to use offsetting to address CO2 emission associated with oil and gas cargoes.
