Seaborne coking coal prices strengthened in late February on supply concerns following the suspension of production at Australia's Moranbah North mine, as well as potential further import restrictions at Chinese ports. Prices entered February around $200.5/ mt FOB Australia and stayed flat until activity picked up after China's Lunar New Year holidays. Over January-February, premium LV HCC prices averaged $202.5/mt FOB, compared with $234.4/mt the year before.
