Atlas questions priority rights at Port Hedland for iron ore project

North West Infrastructure, formally the NorthWest Iron Ore Alliance, does not have priorityrights to develop certain berths at WesternAustralia’s Port Hedland as part of its 50 millionmt/year capacity iron ore export project plan,joint venture member Atlas Iron said.The miner said it has received noticefrom the office of the Minister for Transport,Planning and Lands which implies it will nothave the priority rights for Port Hedland’sStanley Point Berths 3 and 4.
