Orchid diversity: an overview.

摘要

This paper describes the floral morphology, medicinal uses, seed and vegetative propagation, cultivation, nutrient (NPK) requirements, pest (mites, insects, snails and slugs) and disease (fungal, bacterial and viral) management, in situ and ex situ conservation of orchids. Some of the rare and threatened species of orchids of northwestern Himalaya are mentioned. Future prospects are given.
