Amitriptyline-Induced Acute Kidney Injury and Acute Hepatitis: A Case Report

摘要

Tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) are still currently prescribed to treat depression and other relevant psychiatric disorders, although they have been gradually replaced by new drugs such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors according to better tolerability and lesser toxicity. TCAs remain a leading cause of morbidity and mortality due to cardiovascular, central nervous system, and anticholiner-gic toxicity. Consequently, life-threatening TCA poisoning remains a clinical issue today.
