Kuwaitis testing for Egypt development after new fnd

Kuwait Energy will apply for a development lease if testing of a new discovery in Egypt is successful. The company has drilled the ASD exploration well in the Abu Sennan concession in the Western Desert using the EDC- 50 rig. The well was drilled in the north of the block only 12km from the producing Al Jahraa feld. It reached total depth at 12,300ft (3,750m) and encountered 70ft (22m) of net pay across a number of reservoir intervals.
