Seadrill Angola deep drilling bonanza

Sonadrill has won a drillship contract off Angola for a mini- mum of 12 wells with options for up to 20 more, believed to be with France’s Total. The joint venture between Seadrill and Sonangol was set up in early 2019 with the Angolan national oil company providing the two DSME newbuild vessels Libongos and Quenguela and Seadrill theoretically providing two of its own drillships.
